The Honduras team has arrived in the States, and have to clear customs before a later flight the rest of the way home. Thanks for all your prayers!!
We are at the airport in San Pedro Sula, checking in for the first leg of our flight home. We look forward to seeing you all when we arrive home.
We head back to the work site today, and we are going to be working hard all this week to get as much done as possible. We don’t have VBS this week, so all of our attention is going to the work site projects (however, we still have some VBS pictures to share!).
It’s right about this time we start realizing just how little time two weeks is, and how much we want to see the projects here at La Providencia succeed. Right now we have the opportunity to share in the labor here, but we are already looking forward to finding ways to support La Providencia from home.
Please pray for La Providencia, that they are able to continue raising funds for all of their work here. La Providencia is 100% support driven, so we look forward to doing what we can from home!
Today we will be headed out once again to the local church (which is the same church where we ran the VBS last week). We are excited to see if the kids or any of their parents join us for the service, and just to worship with the family that we have made here.
After church, we will be headed out to the store to buy our provisions for this next week. Last Sunday, we encountered a number of issues involving power outages and people who didn’t know how to ring up such a large order (it takes a lot of food to feed 19 people for 6 days!). Please pray that it all goes well this time around, and that if it doesn’t we are still able to respond with patience and joy to the people here in Honduras.
We miss you all!
-Sean
Dear parents,
It looks like we should be at Stonebriar in about 2 hours. Students will start calling home when we are about 30 minutes out.
We are looking forward to hugs, hot showers and comfy beds.
See you soon!
